Jagspares was established in 1985 to fulfill the need for an Independent Supplier of Parts for Jaguar, Range Rover & Land Rover Vehicles in Tasmania.
Alan Howard was approached by a fellow employee at the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) where he worked as a model shop craftsman on TV shows.
Alan's engineering background was to prove useful because when the Jaguar owning worker approached him to make a particular part for his XJ6 Series 1 (chrome trim on the boot lid). Alan said "No, I can't make it but I can get it from the UK for you." Alan was restoring a Triumph car at
the time and had made several contacts in the UK for parts.
Following this, another camera man approached Alan for some parts, he sourced them and then realised there was an opening in the marketplace for an independent supplier.
Since then, Jagspares, as Alan named the business has supplied spare parts for cars from Minis to Rolls Royces.
He is the only stockist of Rolls Royce spare parts in Tasmania.
In 1988, Alan started supplying British four wheel drive spare parts after realising the market was not being serviced correctly in this area.
Jagspares and British Four Wheel Drive is now supplying spare parts regularly to all corners of the globe. Alan has customers in the United States, United Kingdom and places as diverse as Finland, Turkey, Borneo, Japan and Hong Kong.
Jagspares has progressed to the point whereby we are supplying Jaguar, Range Rover, Discovery & Defender parts to other Independent Parts Suppliers in the United Kingdom.
We were the first Jaguar, Range Rover, Land Rover parts supplier in Australia to have our own web site which was established in 1996.
Therefore we take E-commerce very seriously.
Wherever possible we try to supply parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer, which ensures the owner of Genuine Quality Parts but at a much lower price.
We also supply Genuine Parts and parts from reputable proven quality after market manufacturers, for older vehicles.
Very often after market parts are now the only parts available.
